New business structure - Business as usual

In November last year AVK announced the acquisition of Orbinox S.A. which continues a long history of expansion through organic growth as well as acquisitions. The expansion has led to a comprehensive product range as well as a wide and efficient global sales network which supports AVK’s dedication to growth and improvements even in today’s difficult business environment.
As a result, AVK and its subsidiaries have gone through a gradual transition from focusing strictly on the water, sewage, gas and fire protection markets to being a supplier with a much broader approach to the valve market. However, the markets covered by AVK’s present product range are extremely wide-ranging in terms of technologies and know-how needed to support our customers, but certainly also in the way the markets are approached. In order to ensure a forward-looking and focused support to our customers we have decided to enhance and simplify the organization by dividing it into three business units:
AVK Water
This business unit comprises AVK’s original core business: Valves for water & gas distribution, sewage treatment and fire protection. The companies in AVK Water are AVK’s regional sales and production companies selling and producing to customers within this business. They will continue to do so and will also sell the products specifically developed for the water, gas, sewage and fire protection markets by their sister AVK companies.
AVK Industrial Valves
The companies in AVK Industrial Valves are responsible for their product package to the industrial segments. Each of the companies, as well as their present partners, has great expertise within customized valves and accessories as well as complete solutions. Therefore, we find it essential to keep and further develop the existing sales organization and partners. We strongly believe that the companies in the AVK Industrial Valve business unit should keep their current identities and their route to markets while benefitting from the vast experience in the AVK organization.
The companies in AVK Industrial Valves are Orbinox, InterApp, Wouter Witzel EuroValve, Flonidan, Glenfield Valves, World Valve, I.C. Valves and J.C. Hansen. They offer comprehensive product ranges and advanced technologies under their own strong brand names.
AVK Advanced Manufacturing
This business unit comprises AVK’s manufacturing competence centers within our core technologies as well as our feeder factories: AVK GUMMI, AVK Sealing Technology, AVK Plast, AVK Plastics, AVK Syntec, AVK Tooling, Q-Transportmateriel and AVK Polska.
With this structure the AVK partners remain our highest priority and the individual AVK company and its partners can stay focused on offering an unsurpassed service to their customers.
