Win the AVK World Water Award 2019

To promote the global Water Day, AVK invites customers and partners to take part in a contest that focuses, not only on World Water Day, but also on UN Sustainable Development Goal no. 6: “Clean water and sanitation for all”. 14-01-2019

World Water Day is held annually on 22 March as a means of focusing attention on the importance of freshwater and advocating for the sustainable management of freshwater resources.

This year's World Water Day is about tackling the water crisis by addressing the reasons why so many people are being left behind.

To promote the global Water Day, AVK invites customers and partners to take part in a contest that focuses, not only on World Water Day, but also on UN Sustainable Development Goal no. 6: "Clean water and sanitation for all".

Our products and solutions are part of vital infrastructures that form the foundation on which local communities develop and contribute to sustainable growth thus improving the quality of life for millions of people. To mark World Water Day, we, therefore, want to hear your stories and urge you to enter the contest by submitting your best story, telling us what you or your organisation have done to help achieve safe drinking water for all, for example, by reducing the level of NRW, by extending your wastewater collection system or by upgrading your wastewater treatment plant.

Why a world water day?
World Water Day is an international event and an opportunity to learn more about water related issues, be inspired to tell others and take action to make a difference. Each year, UN-Water — the entity that coordinates the UN’s work on water and sanitation — sets a theme for World Water Day corresponding to a current or future challenge. The engagement campaign is coordinated by one or several of the UN-Water Members with a related mandate.
