AVK GUMMI Celebrates Its 50th Anniversary
On 30 September, AVK GUMMI had the pleasure of welcoming customers, suppliers, and other partners to mark their 50th anniversary. 01-10-2025
It was a celebration not only of AVK GUMMI’s history, but of the many relationships that have shaped the company over the past five decades.
During the reception, Niels Aage Kjær, Chairman of the Board; Jacob Kjær, Group Director, Advanced Manufacturing; Knud Flemming Madsen, former Managing Director and Chairman of the Board at AVK GUMMI; and Peter Lorentzen, Managing Director at AVK GUMMI, held speeches reflecting on AVK GUMMI’s 50-year journey.
Since its foundation in 1975, AVK GUMMI has been dedicated to delivering reliable rubber solutions to customers while building a culture based on the values: quality, innovation, reliability, sustainability, and customer focus. Over the years, AVK GUMMI has expanded their expertise, invested in new technologies, and grown with partners worldwide.
Celebration for employees
At AVK GUMMI, the values of unity, job satisfaction, and strong relationships - both among colleagues and across departments - are deeply appreciated. That’s why Friday 3 October was a special occasion, as more than 200 employees came together for a dedicated employee day, which also marked the company’s 50-year anniversary.
The day featured three engaging workshops focusing on collaboration, customer focus, and safety. Participants experienced a mix of fun and meaningful activities - from entertaining exercises that required teamwork and patience, to more serious and educational sessions focusing on lifesaving and fire safety.
Group Leader Kenneth Sejr, who is approaching his 10-year anniversary at AVK GUMMI, shared:
“As many of us don’t see each other daily, a day like this means a lot for strengthening communication, team spirit, and relationships across departments. We had a fun and educational day, rounded off with an entertaining talk by Nils Villemoes. We laughed together, and as the conclusion to a successful day, the October party for all employees and partners in the evening was the perfect finishing touch”
