Niels Aage Kjær happily received the Red Cross Christmas baton

With Christmas spirit, the AVK Group owner and CEO Niels Aage Kjær thankfully accepted the Christmas baton, promising to leave a Christmas donation for Red Cross. 26-11-2019

”For Christmas, I wish that we all come together to make the world just a little bit better. Therefore, I have a Christmas game for corporate leaders which I hope you would like to participate in”. These were the words of General Secretary at Red Cross, Anders Ladekarl, written inside the baton that was handed over to Mr. Kjær on Friday November 22nd.

The Christmas baton (Julestafet in Danish) invites corporations to place a Christmas donation for those in need. The baton was handed over personally by Poul Due Jensen, third generation of the pump-dynasty Grundfos. Prior to this, Poul Due Jensen received the baton from an anonymous, and donated an unknown figure for this great purpose.

Kjær happily accepted the challenge; “I am very positive, and I think it is a great purpose. I have always supported the Red Cross and their great initiatives”.

Like the other participants, Kjær also wishes to keep his donation anonymous, and has not yet decided on the final amount.

Finally, Kjær will also have to point out the next receiver of the baton; “Luckily, I have a couple in mind from 'back home', who might be happy to take the challenge”, Kjær states, suggesting that the next in line might be one from his hometown area around Galten and Silkeborg.
