AVK Global Management Conference 2026
Last week, the AVK Global Management Conference took place in Silkeborg, Denmark, bringing together around 130 leaders across the AVK Group for two inspiring days. 16-06-2026
The conference provided a valuable opportunity to reconnect across companies and countries, welcome new colleagues, and strengthen collaboration throughout the group.
Key Focus Areas
Throughout the two days, special attention was given to a range of important topics shaping AVK’s future direction. Key themes such as People & Leadership, Sustainability, Digitalisation, and Smart Water were at the centre of our discussions. In addition, topics like AI, automation, and customer focus highlighted how we continue to improve efficiency, strengthen decision-making, and create greater value for our customers across markets.
We explored case stories across the AVK Group, covering water solutions, irrigation, and infrastructure projects, as well as initiatives to optimise and expand production capabilities – all illustrating how we continue to drive efficiency and support sustainable growth across markets.
Jesper Bo Jensen on Global Megatrends and Geopolitical Changes
A particularly inspiring moment was the presentation by Jesper Bo Jensen from the Center for Future Studies. Drawing on his extensive experience as a futurist and advisor, Jesper shared insights into global megatrends, geopolitical shifts, and their potential impact on AVK - highlighting how organisations can better prepare for uncertainty.
One key takeaway from his talk was a simple yet powerful message: “Keep doing what you are good at doing.” Highlighting the value of maintaining direction and confidence in what we do.
The AVK History and Evolution
A particular highlight was Niels Aage Kjær's closing reflections on AVK's history and development. Niels Aage Kjær took the participants on a journey through AVK’s development – from the early years to where we stand today, and where we are going. The presentation also highlighted AVK Core Values and The AVK Way of Leadership. Through our Core Values, a common language supporting alignment across regions and functions has been created. His story reminded us that our success is built on strong values, long-term thinking, and a culture that has evolved over generations. A story that continues to connect us across the group and with our customers and partners.
Networking and Shaping the Future Together
Throughout the programme, participants had numerous opportunities to share experiences, discuss shared challenges, and explore new ways of collaborating across countries and organisations. This strong global network is an important asset for AVK, bringing together diverse perspectives, competencies, and know-how.
After a full day of conference sessions, participants continued their conversations during a boat trip on the lakes around Silkeborg on Thursday. The informal setting provided an excellent opportunity for relaxed dialogue and relationship building, followed by a shared dinner in the evening.

As AVK continues to grow and evolve, the insights gained and the relationships built during the conference will play an important role in supporting the company’s strategic development. The shared understanding and strengthened connections will help drive future initiatives and contribute to achieving the group’s long-term ambitions.
